2. Shipping Responsibility

  • All shipping, delivery, and order fulfilment are handled directly by the Vendor.

  • Vendors are responsible for:

    • Securely packaging products

    • Selecting shipping methods and courier services

    • Dispatching orders within stated handling times

    • Ensuring delivery to the correct address provided by the Customer


3. Shipping Fees

  • Shipping fees are set independently by each Vendor.

  • Shipping costs may vary based on:

    • Vendor location

    • Delivery destination

  • Applicable shipping fees are displayed at checkout before payment is completed.


4. Delivery Timeframes

  • Estimated delivery times are provided by the Vendor and may vary.

  • Delivery timelines depend on:

    • Vendor processing time

    • Courier service used

    • Customer location

  • Shoplinka.com does not guarantee delivery dates or times.


5. Tracking Information

  • Where available, Vendors may provide tracking details once an order has been shipped.

  • Customers are encouraged to contact the Vendor via their Shoplinka.com account for shipping updates.


6. Delays & Shipping Issues

Shoplinka.com is not responsible for:

  • Shipping delays

  • Lost, damaged, or misdirected parcels

  • Courier service disruptions

  • Shipping-related issues must be resolved directly with the Vendor.

  • Shoplinka.com may assist by facilitating communication but is not liable for outcomes.


7. International Shipping

  • Some Vendors may offer international shipping.

  • Customers are responsible for:

    • Customs duties

    • Import taxes

    • Clearance fees

  • Shoplinka.com has no control over customs delays or charges.


8. Incorrect Address Information

  • Customers must ensure shipping details are accurate at checkout.

  • Vendors are not obligated to refund or replace orders delivered to incorrect addresses provided by the Customer.


9. Returns Related to Shipping

  • Shipping-related returns are governed by:

    • The Vendor’s individual return policy

    • Shoplinka.com’s Refund & Returns Policy

  • Customers are encouraged to review Vendor policies before purchasing.


10. Limitation of Liability

Shoplinka.com acts solely as a marketplace platform connecting Customers and Vendors.

We are not liable for:

  • Shipping errors

  • Delivery failures

  • Courier performance

  • Loss or damage occurring during transit

All shipping-related liabilities rest with the Vendor.

Vendor Shipping Policy

1. Purpose of This Policy

This policy defines the shipping and delivery obligations of Vendors selling on Shoplinka.com.

By listing products on Shoplinka.com, you agree to comply with this policy, the Vendor Agreement, and all applicable South African consumer laws, including the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).


2. Vendor Responsibility

As a Vendor, you are solely responsible for:

  • Packaging, shipping, and delivering all products sold

  • Selecting and managing courier or delivery services

  • Ensuring products reach Customers in good condition

  • Complying with all CPA delivery requirements

Shoplinka.com is a platform only and is not the seller of goods.


3. Shipping Fees & Disclosure

  • Shipping fees must be clearly set and displayed on product listings.

  • All delivery costs and estimated delivery times must be disclosed before checkout.

  • Hidden or misleading shipping charges are prohibited under the CPA.


4. Handling & Delivery Timeframes

  • Orders must be shipped within the timeframe stated on the product listing.

  • If no timeframe is stated, delivery must occur within a reasonable time as required by the CPA.

  • Failure to deliver on time may entitle the Customer to cancel the order and request a refund.


5. Risk & Ownership (CPA Compliance)

In accordance with the CPA:

  • Risk and responsibility for goods remain with the Vendor until delivery to the Customer.

  • Vendors are responsible for:

    • Lost parcels

    • Damaged goods

    • Courier-related delivery failures


6. Tracking & Communication

  • Vendors should provide tracking information where available.

  • Vendors must respond to shipping-related queries promptly and professionally.

  • All communication must take place through approved Shoplinka.com channels.


7. Delays, Lost, or Damaged Shipments

If an order is delayed, lost, or damaged:

  • Vendors must investigate and resolve the issue directly with the Customer.

  • Vendors may be required to provide:

    • A replacement

    • A refund

    • Or another CPA-compliant remedy

Shoplinka.com may assist with facilitation but is not liable for the outcome.


8. Incorrect Delivery Information

  • If incorrect delivery details are provided by the Customer, Vendors must make reasonable efforts to assist.

  • Refunds or replacements are not mandatory where non-delivery is caused by Customer error.


9. International Shipping (If Offered)

If you offer international shipping:

  • This must be clearly disclosed on listings.

  • Customers are responsible for customs duties, import taxes, and clearance fees.

  • Vendors are responsible for accurate customs documentation.


10. Returns Related to Shipping

Shipping-related returns must comply with:

  • The Vendor’s stated return policy

  • Shoplinka.com’s Refund & Returns Policy

  • CPA requirements, including cooling-off rights where applicable


11. Non-Compliance

Failure to comply with this policy may result in:

  • Order cancellations

  • Refunds issued at the Vendor’s cost

  • Temporary suspension of listings

  • Permanent removal from the Shoplinka.com platform


12. Platform Role

Shoplinka.com:

  • Is not a party to the contract of sale

  • Does not take ownership of goods

  • Does not control courier services

All shipping obligations remain with the Vendor.
